LAS VEGAS (2007 FIBA Americas Championship) - The United States remained perfect at the FIBA Americas 2007 Championship, coasting to a 113-63 victory over Canada on Saturday afternoon. Winning its first three contests by an average of 52 points, the United States has yet to be challenged and now owns a 3-0 mark in tournament play.

Carmelo Anthony's 12 first quarter points on five-of-five shooting from the field helped the USA get off to a hot start, but Canada's 10-2 run to close the period made it a 28-21 score.

Any thoughts of the USA having its' first real test, however, were quickly erased.

Throughout preliminary round play, the United States has shared the ball with great efficiency.

Today was no exception.

Seven players would score in double figures and crisp passing always seemed to get the ball into the hands of an open shooter.

More times than not in today's second quarter, that shooter was Michael Redd.

The USA's resident marksman poured in 13 points in the period, helping the Americans open up a 65-34 lead at the half.

When LeBron James found Kobe Bryant streaking across the left baseline for a reverse layup with 4:49 remaining in the third quarter, the USA stretched its' lead to 81-39.

James' assist was one of 22 on the afternoon for the USA, which leads the tournament with 77 through three games.

The United States will face Brazil tomorrow while Canada ended its opening round action today, owners of a 2-2 record.

Anthony finished with a game-high 25 points. Pacing Canada with 17 markers was Olu Famutimi.
